In a heartfelt video message, the global star spoke about her journey, Miss World’s legacy of purpose, and lauded Nita Ambani, who received the prestigious Miss World Humanitarian Award.
PeeCee, currently residing in the US, highlighted the importance of purpose, a value instilled in her by her parents, both doctors in the Indian Army. She reminisced about witnessing their dedication to helping those in need, a value she carries forward.
The ‘Desi Girl’ further shed light on the impact of the Miss World Organization’s “Beauty with Purpose” initiative, championed by Julia Morley. Priyanka credited Morley for reminding her that the title transcended beauty, urging the use of the platform for positive change.
Praising Nita Ambani, the Quantico actress spoke of her admiration and respect for the philanthropist’s multifaceted endeavours. Having witnessed Ambani’s dedication first-hand, Chopra lauded her passion, commitment, and meticulousness in every undertaking.
The global icon asserted, “To me, Nita Ma’am epitomises exactly what Mrs Morley tried to instil in our young minds back then. Over the years, I have witnessed Nita Ma’am’s profound impact through her various endeavours. She not only is a respectable educationist, philanthropist, and businesswoman but also a staunch advocate and protector of the arts of India.”
She further added, “Nita ma’am wears all of these hats and more with a warm smile and so much compassion. Her journey is the embodiment of the ethos of beauty with purpose.” Concluding her message, Chopra stated the importance of not just celebrating Ambani’s achievements but also the empowerment and growth she has fostered in countless lives.
