Prabhas expresses gratitude towards Deepika Padukone for Kalki 2898 AD success; says, “We all know we have a much bigger part 2”

Following the monumental success of Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer Kalki 2898 AD, which not only conquered the Indian box office but also amassed a staggering Rs. 1000 crores worldwide and counting, the excitement for the next instalment in the franchise is intense. The first part, directed by Nag Ashwin, won hearts and was appreciated for its storyline, visuals, and performances.

Now, as for plans of taking ahead the Kalki saga, we hear that it is underway, and fans are eagerly anticipating a sequel that promises to be bigger and better with Prabhas and Deepika. In fact, in a recent clip shared by the producers, Prabhas expressed his gratitude towards the team, cast and confirmed the development of the second instalment, expressing his admiration for his co-star Deepika Padukone further adding that the actress will be having a bigger role in the next one. In the video he said, “Thanks a lot to Deepika, the most gorgeous lady. And we all know we have a much bigger part 2.”

Director Nag Ashwin also earlier emphasized Deepika’s crucial role in the film, reinforcing the idea that her character is the  centre of the story. Nag Ashwin said stated, “Deepika is the most important part of the story. Because if you remove her character, there is no story. There is no Kalki.” This yet again highlights the pivotal role Deepika plays in the franchise, and her presence is expected to add even more depth and intrigue to the sequel.

With Prabhas and Deepika Padukone leading the charge once again, the second part of Kalki 2898 AD is expected to deliver an unparalleled cinematic experience with a promise that audiences can look forward to a thrilling conclusion that not only matches but surpasses the grandeur of its predecessor.

Apart from the duo, the first instalment also featured Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwattama and Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin. The film released in multiple languages last month in cinemas worldwide.
