Pooja Bhatt hints at reuniting with Suniel Shetty for an ‘explosive’ new action thriller on Lionsgate

Pooja Bhatt seems to be back in form, especially after her stint in Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 wherein she garnered ample love from audience for being one of the strongest contenders on the reality show. The actress, who has also tapped into the world of filmmaking, is currently exploring the digital platform and web-series along with films. Recently, she piqued interest of the social media users by sharing a glimpse of her upcoming project and also hinted at her reunion with actor Suniel Shetty.

For the unversed, Pooja Bhatt and Suniel Shetty were a part of the iconic film Border but haven’t shared screen space together as such until now. Speaking of her new project, Pooja shared a photo of her in her intense character sporting a short hairdo and saree and she captioned the same, “A sneak peek from my next project with @lionsgateindia. So looking forward to working with you again @suniel.shetty”. Although not many details have been unveiled about this project, it is being said that this is a film featuring the two stalwart actors.

Sources seem to believe that Pooja Bhatt’s character in this Lionsgate’s explosive new Action Thriller will be on the lines of an ‘Iron Lady’. While Bhatt has often portrayed strong female roles in the past, it is also believed that this character in her new project is going to be next level badass. Although not divulging details on the show, Pooja Bhatt did share some deeper insights into her role in this thriller and said, “I have always had the privilege and made the choice to portray empowered women on screen. I was immediately drawn to this character for the sheer power, depth & empathy she exudes. Her ability to take a stand for what she believes in and face challenges head-on is something I connect with on a personal level. Can’t wait for audiences to see this new avatar.”
