OMG 2 Box Office: Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam score a 100 Crore Club HIT in just 9 days

In just 9 days, OMG 2 has entered the Rs. 100 Crore Club. One wondered whether this feat would be accomplished on Saturday or would it take Sunday morning for that. However, as the afternoon shows of Sunday kick-started, it started becoming clearer that the film would go past the Rs. 100 crores mark by the close of day, hence celebrating this remarkable feat.

The film also scored a double digit day with Rs. 10.53 crores coming in, and that too when right in front of it there was Gadar 2 creating ‘gadar’ and scoring in excess of Rs. 30 crores already. Still, OMG 2 fought it hard, and how, to manage good momentum and keeping the multiplex audiences engaged with its overall score reading as Rs. 101.61 crores. Despite an A certificate, the Amit Rai directed film has been gaining good traction and that will continue for next few weeks as well.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar now has 16 centuries to his name and he has joined Salman Khan who has an equal number of Rs. 100 Crore Club successes. Together, they have scored the most number of centuries. Yami Gautam too has four centuries to her name now and the actress is silently piling up hits to her name. As for Pankaj Tripathi, he has now opened his account in the Rs. 100 Crore Club arena and one now waits to see what does he pick up next where he plays the central protagonist.
