Whitney Thore from My Big Fat Fabulous Life pleads with fans to think before commenting. The new season’s teaser is out, and fans are mad about it.
Whitney Thore and her family are returning for another season of her popular show. In the new episodes, they deal with the devastating loss of Babs Thore. The TLC celeb knew it would be hard to move on without her mother. But she knew that was something her mother would want them to do.
However, the My Big Fat Fabulous Life cast members decided to allow production to film Babs’ funeral. The cameras followed them as they said their final goodbyes. The scenes were filled with many tears.
Whitney has shared many moments in her life over the past decade. Some good and others bad. Fans have got to know not only her but her family members as well. So, they chose to include the passing of Babs in the upcoming episodes. Yet, it seems like fans didn’t think they made the right decision to allow such a personal moment to be a part of the new season.
Whitney got many messages from people saying they were in disbelief that they would welcome cameras at Babs’ funeral. One person feels that the TLC celeb would “do anything for attention.” Another person “can’t believe she forced her dad to film for her own selfish gain.”
The My Big Fat Fabulous Life reality star’s father, Glenn Thore, has seen these comments. He explains that when deciding to allow her funeral to be filmed, he thought about Princess Diana and the Queen of England. He feels that having their loved one shared with the “adoring public” was a reason to put their privacy aside.
Whitney reassures Glenn that he made the right decision. She tells him not to read the comments because people can be “heinous.” She feels the “normal, supportive fans” leave positive comments on her social media accounts.
Whitney Thore knows that there are a lot of people who don’t like her. She has dealt with “stalkers, vandals, death threats, and harassment online and off.” This treatment from fans has made her develop severe anxiety to the point of never wanting to leave her house. So, she is asking people to think about what they are writing.
The My Big Fat Fabulous Life castmate wants people to remember that they are talking about her “dead mother” and her family members who are reading the comments. She says that they are “humans who are grieving.”
Whitney finds some people’s behavior towards her and her family “terrifying.” She feels her “poor father” doesn’t need to read such negative comments. So, she is asking people to think about her and her family. She believes that they don’t deserve to read these types of comments.
