Glenn Thore pushes Hunter Thore to propose on My Big Fat Fabulous Life. He wants to see his son marry Karen. Yet, will he pop the question during their trip to Spain?
Glenn Thore has been on his children’s case to get married. Since Hunter Thore is in a serious relationship, he feels it’s time they take the next step and wed. So, he packs his wife Babs Thore’s engagement ring and brings it on Whitney Thore’s 40th birthday trip to Spain.
The My Big Fat Fabulous Life cast member tells Whitney that being in Spain would be a good time for her brother to propose to Karen. He explains to his daughter that he brought Babs’ engagement ring just in case. He feels that he needs to be prepared.
Whitney can’t believe that Glenn brought the engagement ring to Spain after she told him not to. She tells him he should keep the ring in his back pocket for now. However, he feels he should give the ring to Hunter right now.
Whitney thinks her father has “completely lost it” by trying to push a proposal timeline. She supports her brother proposing to Karen. However, she believes he should be in charge of planning it and not her father.
Glenn walks up to Hunter and Karen and tells them, “What a gorgeous place to be in love.” He then hands his son an engagement ring. He tells his son that it is up to him to do it at the right time.
The My Big Fat Fabulous Life castmate feels his father is being ridiculous. He believes that no one “has any power over” Glenn. He adds that he will do whatever he wants.
Hunter reveals that he loves Karen, and they have spoken about marriage “down the road.” But he doesn’t know if he is going to pop the question now or later. He wants to figure the timeline out on his own terms. He feels that the “pressure is intense.”
Glenn Thore tells Hunter Thore during Whitney Thore’s 40th birthday dinner that it is a good time to propose to Karen. So, he takes Karen to the side and tells everyone they will be back. However, Whitney tells everyone that “he has a ring in his pocket.”
The My Big Fat Fabulous Life star admits that he has been encouraging his son to take the next step. Glenn would be thrilled if his son proposed, as he feels that “having a ring at your fingertips” makes it easier.
Hunter admits that the trip to Spain made him realize how much he loves Karen. He wants to propose, and having a ring does help. But he feels they are going at the pace they want to, so he needs to find a time that works well for both of them.
