It was another superb day for Munjya as collections continued to stay over the Rs. 4 crores mark. The film brought in Rs. 4.03 crores more and that’s one amazing trending that goes on to prove once again that when audiences catch fancy to something, they go for it wholeheartedly.
A film with hardly any known names has gone ahead and collected very good moolah already at the box office, hence staking the claim of finding a spot in the Top-10 Week One of the year. Now that’s something which literally no one could see coming but it has happened indeed as the collections so far [Rs. 36.50 crores] are just below Article 370 [Rs. 38.82 crores] and ahead of Yodha, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi [Rs. 24.89 crores] (which had entered the Top-10 just last week) and HanuMan [Hindi] [Rs. 24.69 crores].
The other films which are ahead of Munjya after first seven days are Fighter [Rs. 143.85 crores], Shaitaan [Rs. 81.60 crores], Crew [Rs. 47.54 crores], Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya [Rs. 47.18 crores] and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan [Rs. 44.67 crores]. Though lifetime collections of the first two films in the list are out of reach, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan would be crossed quickly whereas Crew and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya could well find themselves behind Munjya once the film’s run comes to a close.
Solid hit.
