Mrunal Thakur reveals, “I was supposed to be a dentist”

Mrunal Thakur has become one of the most sought-after actresses in recent years. This is also evident from the enormous fan following she has developed in a short span of time. More importantly, she is famous not only for her looks but also her fine acting skills, which she proved right in her debut Love, Sonia, a globally recognized movie.

However, Mrunal decided to be an actress much later and was all set to become a dentist. Yes, you read that right. She revealed this interesting story about her life in a recent interview with Exhibit magazine.

When Mrunal was asked when did she realize her potential interest in being an actor, she revealed, “I discovered that I wanted to be an actor when I was prepping for a medical entrance exam. I still did that and almost got into BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery). I was supposed to be a dentist, and then I was like, no, something’s not right, so I opted for a Bachelor of Mass Media, and that’s when I realised that acting is something I want to explore.”

Mrunal was last seen in the romantic movie Hi Nanna last year. The Telugu movie also starred Nani and Kiara Khanna. Her last Bollywood movie was Raja Krishna Menon’s war drama Pippa (2023).
