Actor Mohit Raina, renowned for his remarkable performances in acclaimed projects such as Mumbai Diaries, Shiddat, and Bhaukaal, recently unveiled a lesser-known facet of his identity. Despite his rising fame as an actor, Raina candidly revealed that his heart had always yearned to don the uniform of the Indian Army. This aspiration, rooted in his profound admiration for the military, prompted him to take a significant step towards this dream. Mohit Raina revealed that he had taken the National Defence Academy (NDA) exam, administered by the UPSC, in his pursuit to join the esteemed ranks of the Army, Navy, or Air Force.
Upon reflecting on this pivotal moment, Raina shared, “In my early years, I harboured a strong desire to be a part of the Indian Army. The values of discipline, sacrifice, and honour that the armed forces embody greatly inspired me. Yet destiny had other plans for me. Although I managed to pass the written exam, my vision issue hindered my success in the medical examination. However, fate led me into the entertainment industry, where I had the privilege of portraying army and defence officer roles. This is something I consider a blessing. Life often unfolds unexpectedly, and while my childhood dream took a different path, I am grateful for the opportunities that acting has brought my way.”
As Mohit Raina readies himself for the release of his upcoming project, The Freelancer, set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar, he also anticipates his return in the second season of Mumbai Diaries. Additionally, Raina has a roster of unannounced projects in the pipeline, a testament to his unwavering dedication to his craft.
