Mika Singh reveals he was paid enough at Anant Ambani’s wedding to sustain five years; jokes about missing out on Rs 2 crores watch: “He distributed a lot of money to everyone”

Singer Mika Singh, who performed at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s grand wedding earlier this year, recently opened up about his experience. While the singer admitted he was paid handsomely for his performance, he playfully expressed his disappointment about not receiving a luxury watch gifted to close friends and select entertainment industry members.

“I Didn’t Get the Watch,” Says Mika
In an interview with The Lallantop, Mika Singh jokingly remarked, “I went to perform at Anant Ambani’s wedding. He distributed a lot of money to everyone, even to me. But I am angry about one thing: I did not get the watch that all the other close people got.”

The Ambanis reportedly gifted Audemars Piguet limited-edition luxury watches worth over Rs 2 crore to a select few, including actors Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh. Mika Singh sent a playful message to Anant Ambani, referring to him as his “brother,” and hinted that he should still consider sending him the coveted timepiece.

A Fee to Last Five Years
Mika refrained from revealing exactly how much he earned from the performance but teased that it was a significant amount. “I was paid a lot of fees. But I cannot tell you how much this amount was. But if you want to guess, I can say that I got so much money that I could easily spend five years with it. I don’t have any special expenses, so I could easily spend five years with that money,” he said.
Changing Perception of Wedding Performances
Mika Singh also reflected on how the perception of performing at private events like weddings has evolved over time. He noted, “When we two brothers [Mika and Daler Mehndi] used to sing at weddings, people used to feel bad that they were going and singing at weddings. Now, I see that everyone is singing at weddings. It doesn’t seem like anyone is going to a big show and performing. Now, they are earning all their money by singing at weddings.”
