Actress Manushi Chhillar, recently seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, opened up about her career trajectory in a Zoom TV interview. She revealed being considered for Kiara Advani’s role in Kabir Singh.
Missed opportunity in Kabir Singh
Manushi confirmed rumors of being approached for Preeti’s role, opposite Shahid Kapoor, in Kabir Singh. However, she learned about this opportunity much later, after being crowned Miss World 2017. Contractual obligations with the Miss World organization prevented her from pursuing the role.
Despite missing out on Kabir Singh, Manushi expressed her appreciation for director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s filmmaking style, particularly his portrayal of female characters. She went on to praise actress Rashmika Mandanna’s performance in Vanga’s Animal.
Manushi highlighted Rashmika Mandanna’s character arc in Animal, and stated how she stood her ground amidst a male-dominated narrative. Manushi stated, “That’s a role I would have loved to do,” acknowledging the strength and complexity of the character.
Manushi Chhillar’s filmography
Manushi made her acting debut in 2022 with Samrat Prithviraj alongside Akshay Kumar. Following Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, she has Tehran, where she will share screen space with John Abraham.
Adil Hussain-Sandeep Reddy Vanga spat over Kabir Singh
Meanwhile, Kabir Singh recently made headlines after Adil Hussain confessed that he regrets doing the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial. Reacting to the same, the filmmaker bashed him on X (formerly known as Twitter), and claimed that he will remove Adil’s face from the film with the help of AI.
