Mama June: Family Crisis – June Shannon’s Massive Secret

Coming up this season on Mama June: Family Crisis, June Shannon’s family finds out that she’s been hiding a whopper of a secret. Currently, the topic generating the most buzz in the Shannon family is Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and if she will go to college in Colorado.

Indeed, it’s a wonderful opportunity, and her sister, (who’s been more like a mother), Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, is dead set on Alana going. However, Alana is unsure because of several different factors. First, there is her sister Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell’s tragic cancer diagnosis.

Then, there was the fact that her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, was unable to leave the state due to legal problems and couldn’t go with her. So, she’s having a hard time making a decision. Soon, on Mama June: Family Crisis, it looks like Alana decides to attend college in Colorado.

However, she faces a new obstacle that she does not see coming. It turns out that while Mama was deep in her drug addiction, she spent Alana’s college fund on drugs. So now, even with her $21,000 scholarship, Alana might not be able to pay for her college education.

No doubt, this causes an uproar in the family. Of course, Mama’s daughters are furious, especially Alana. But June’s new husband, Justin Stroud, does not take the news well either on Mama June: Family Crisis. And it could jeopardize their marriage.

In the upcoming season, everyone learns that June blew Alana’s tuition and a bunch of other money when she was on drugs. Understandably, Alana is distraught and she confronts Justin asking if he knew.

It appears that Justin did not know because he seems as blindsided as everyone else. Then, he goes off on Mama, calling her a liar. Later, June wants to know if Justin considers their marriage over.

Will Mama’s Marriage Survive on Mama June: Family Crisis?

Currently, Mama and her new hubby Justin, seem to be doing extremely well overall. However, when June’s latest bombshell drops, it blindsides Justin, and might be more than he can handle. Knowing that she squandered all of her children’s money could push him over the edge.
