Mama June: Family Crisis star June Shannon recently shared an update on her family along with a request as they face one of the most difficult times in their lives. She also made an announcement reassuring fans of the WEtv reality series.
Many Mama June: Family Crisis fans know that June Shannon’s 29-year-old daughter, Anna (Chickadee) Cardwell is battling the rare form of cancer, Adrenal Carcinoma. She was diagnosed in January, and she’s currently in stage four.
The cancer is extremely aggressive, and is in her lungs, kidney, liver, and spleen — all on the left side of her body. Furthermore, Anna’s chemotherapy treatments have been rough on her.
She had a hard time eating, was understandably exhausted, and lost all her hair. Regardless, the popular Mama June: Family Crisis celeb stayed positive and extremely engaged with fans on social media.
Anna kept them up to date and was still enjoying life to the fullest, especially with her two daughters, Kaitlyn Cardwell and Kylee Cardwell. This has been extremely difficult on the entire Shannon family.
But Anna’s sisters, Lauryn (Pumpkin) Shannon Efird, Alana (Honey Boo Boo) Thompson, and Jessica (Chubbs) Shannon are extremely supportive. And, of course, so has her mom, June.
Fans know June was estranged from all of her daughters during her drug addiction. She was in a toxic relationship with Geno Doak and was battling many demons. Thankfully, June overcame her addiction and is still clean and sober.
Furthermore, she recently married Justin Stroud and is in a healthy, happy relationship. However, her addiction took a toll on her children and she had to work hard to rebuild her relationship with all of them.
Thankfully, the Mama June: Family Crisis celebrity was able to mend fences with Anna before her cancer diagnosis. No matter what they’ve been through, Anna needs her mom as she fights to win this battle. Sadly, it appears that Anna has taken a turn for the worst…
Recently, June, her daughter “Pumpkin”, and her sister, Joanne (Doe Doe) Shannon, took to Instagram asking fans to pray for Anna and their family. Furthermore, June announced that some things have changed for her family over the last few weeks that are out of their control.
She confirmed that Anna is still with them but it looks like things are getting worse. In addition, June said this would be her last post on social media until she loses her daughter Anna — if that happens. Of course, the Mama June: Family Crisis fanbase hopes it doesn’t.
But, she reassured them that when (and if) that time comes she will be back. She and the family will take to social media and update all the fans because that’s the way Anna would want it. Hopefully, the Shannon family gets a miracle and Anna pulls through.
She is so young, and has so many people that love her, especially her two little girls. No doubt, fans are praying for her and all the Shannon’s and hope that Anna stays with us. We will update you as soon as we learn more.
