The Lucifer pair is all set to return, and fans couldn’t be more excited about it. Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mohanlal will be coming together for L2E: Empuraan, which was officially announced in August 2022. The film is expected to be a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster and is touted as one of the biggest Malayalam films. Having recovered from his knee injury after a three-month-long hiatus, Prithviraj Sukumaran is all geared up to kickstart the shoot of it from October 5. A recent update on the film front is that the makers have welcomed Lyca Productions.
Actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran took to social media and shared that L2E: Empuraan is going on floors from October with its first official schedule and also welcomed Lyca Productions on board. The popular production house, which has worked with some of the biggest names in the South, will mark their debut in the Malayalam cinema with this magnum opus. Lyca Productions is the label behind some of the biggest films including Ponniyin Selvan: I and Ponniyin Selvan: II, the upcoming action drama Indian 2 and the newly released Chandramukhi 2 amongst others.
Dropping a visual treat for his fans, Prithviraj Sukumaran shared, “#L2E – Empuraan. It’s an honour for the ‘L’ team to welcome #LycaProductions to the Malayalam Cinema industry. Jointly produced by #AashirvadCinemas and #LycaProductions, the 2nd instalment of the #LUCIFER franchise starts rolling from 5th Oct 2023.“
