The trailer launch of Kho Gaye Hum Kahan was held at an open-air restaurant-cum-lounge in Mumbai in the presence of actors Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gourav along with director Arjun Varain Singh. Producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Reema Kagti along with Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh of Netflix also made their presence felt. The film talks about social media and Ananya opened up on her views about this aspect. She also revealed that she was stunned with Arjun Varain Singh’s script as it was close to her real life.
Ananya Panday stated, “Honestly, I used to feel that Arjun had a secret camera hidden in my room somewhere because (the depiction in the script) was so accurate! Actually, the reason I am not active on social media anymore is because this film made me realize the things I was doing wrong. I used to pretend on social media that my life was all fun and exciting when I was actually crying in the corner. Hence, doing this film was cathartic for me.”
Ananya continued, “The friendship part of the film was really organic. Kudos to Arjun and the team because they took us to Goa for a trip. Then, we three automatically became best friends on the trip. Hopefully, it’ll translate well on the screen.”
At this point, Siddhant Chaturvedi intervened and clarified, “Ananya said Arjun had a secret camera in her room. Guys, that’s a joke!”
The trailer launch was followed by Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gourav mentioning Gen-Z terms and asking Ritesh Sidhwani and Reema Kagti what they stand for. It led to a lot of laughs. Then, the Q&A session with the media happened. And finally, the various music artists came on stage and performed on the songs, making it an evening to remember.
Kho Gaye Hum Kahan releases directly on Netflix on December 26.
