Khel Khel Mein’s ‘Hauli Hauli’ song launch: Aditya Seal aptly imitates Akshay Kumar; Ammy Virk jokes, “Khaana khaane gaye the hum toh aur film bana ke aa gaye”

Heavy rains lashed Mumbai on Thursday, July 25. Yet, the media turned up in full force for the launch of Khel Khel Mein’s first song, ‘Hauli Hauli’, at a restobar in Mumbai. It was attended by the film’s actors – Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal – along with singer Neha Kakkar and director Mudassar Aziz. Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor were unavailable and hence, couldn’t make it.

Aditya Seal raised laughs as he wonderfully imitated Akshay Kumar in his intro speech. He said, “This song is one side and the fun we had while doing the film is on another. We were doing a table read of the script. One of the first things that Akshay sir told us during the session was, ‘Dekho, khel khel mein picture khatam kar denge. Tension mat lena tum’. I said, ‘Okay, sir!’” Taapsee Pannu and Pragya Jaiswal couldn’t stop laughing at his apt imitation.

He continued, “So we made this film khel khel mein and you’ll see the result on August 15.”

Ammy Virk raised laughs in his trademark style. He began by saying how Mudassar Aziz offered him the film, “We just gave our word to each other 2-3 years ago. Mudassar paaji was sitting and I asked him to consider me for a Hindi film. He said ‘Done’. The matter got over there. What is the film, when will we do – all that became secondary. I hope I sit with him again and bag his next film as well!”

He then said, “I must have done some good deed or it’s the result of someone’s blessings that itna acche bande iss film mein mile. Everyone gave me so much love that you can’t even imagine.”

Ammy Virk further stated, “Akshay paaji was our senior. When the senior most person treats everyone with love, then nothing like it. He has this habit that everyone should have lunch together. Pragya would order fish, Vaani ne kuch alag mangaya hota tha. Akshay paaji ne bhi kuch mangaya hota tha. I am the biryani saag type. We would eat from their plate.”

Pointing at Pragya Jaiswal, he revealed, “She would order healthy food as she is the heroine! But even she would consume biryani and lift food from Akshay paaji’s plate.”

Ammy Virk ended by remarking, “In short, it was a chill atmosphere. Khaana khaane gaye the hum toh aur film bana ke aa gaye maze maze mein!”

Khel Khel Mein releases in cinemas on August 15.
