Kartik Aaryan propels Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise into Bollywood’s All-Time Top 6

Filmmaker Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 was one of the most keenly awaited films of the year. It was coming at the back of the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the second film in the franchise. But the third film had to deal with a massive clash at the box office with a multi-starrer biggie like Singham Again. However, that hasn’t affected Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 as the Kartik Aaryan starrer has become a success by earning almost Rs. 270 crores at the Indian box office itself till now.

By achieving this, the movie has also ensured that Bhool Bhulaiyaa has become one of the most successful and popular franchises in Hindi. It is currently at number six on the list of most successful film franchises from Bollywood with an impressive collection of Rs. 503.59 crores across all the 3 releases.

The fifth franchise in the list is Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal with Rs. 556.36 crores. This is the only franchise in the list that has achieved such glory through just one film. The second film in the franchise Animal Park is hugely awaited. The fourth in the list is Gadar with Rs. 602.33 crores. Out of this, the contribution of Gadar 2 is a whopping Rs. 525.45 crores. The third and second spots are taking by Baahubali and Stree franchises with Rs. 629.69 crores and Rs. 756.92 crores respectively.

The list of Bollywood’s successful franchises is topped by Yash Raj Films’ Tiger. The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer franchise has earned Rs. 823.46 crores from three movies.
