Karan Johar says Sidharth Malhotra fans will be very proud of the work he has done in Yodha; says, “When you’ll see the trailer, you will know it was not an easy film”

Sidharth Malhotra has been playing patriotic roles in films like Shershaah and Mission Majnu which has definitely won hearts of his fans. Now the actor is yet again planning to return in one such strong and action-packed role in Yodha, which is produced by Dharma Productions. The star will be featuring alongside Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani in this film which will feature him as an officer.

For the unversed, the Sidharth Malhotra starrer is Dharma Production’s first action franchise, Yodha, where he will once again embrace his much-loved action-packed avatar to thwart an aeroplane hijacking. The glimpses of the film released so far have generated significant intrigue, building anticipation for the actor’s showdown with the villains. Recently in an interview Karan Johar, talking about Yodha shared, “Oh my God! Yodha was a tough film. When you see the film, and you’ll see the trailer, you will know it was not an easy film because while it has a lot of scale in many parts of the film, there is one chunk of it in which we had to build the entire set of a plane and the action crew was from South Africa and there were multiple cameras and multiple rehearsals. So, there was a lot of prep work done to get it right.”.

He further added, “Kudos to…they are first-time directors, Sagar and Pushkar, to them, to producer Shashank Khaitan who is producing the film with us, and to Sidharth Malhotra. The work he put in… I think there are really two films which have challenged him physically and emotionally, Shershaah and Yodha. He is delivered in both, and I think all Sidharth Malhotra fans will be very proud of the work he has done in Yodha.”.

Sidharth Malhotra will be wrapping up this year with the dhamakedar release on December 8, 2023. As for next year, he will kick off 2024 with a bang, with the highly anticipated web series, Indian Police Force, which is an integral part of the Rohit Shetty cop universe and it will be releasing on January 19.
