Shah Rukh Khan and Vicky Kaushal are trending on social media after their dance to the classic track ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’ at the recent IIFA 2024. The spontaneous performance, featuring both actors, captivated fans, and filmmaker Karan Johar quickly reacted by sharing the clip on his Instagram stories along with heart emojis.
The duo brought the charm of ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’ to the IIFA stage. As co-hosts of the event, both actors have previously performed the song in their films—SRK in the original version from Duplicate and Vicky in the remake featured in Bad Newz, released earlier this year. At IIFA 2024, they reunited to recreate the original hook step while dancing to the newer version. Dressed in black, Shah Rukh and Vicky clearly enjoyed themselves during the performance.
In addition to this, Shah Rukh and Vicky also danced to songs like ‘Tauba Tauba’ and ‘Oo Antava.’ A viral video from the event shows SRK enthusiastically following Vicky’s hook step to the popular track. The fun escalated when, after finishing the dance, SRK took a moment to thank the audience while Vicky kept lip-syncing and dancing. In a playful move, SRK walked over and jokingly covered Vicky’s mouth, telling him to stop, which left the audience in stitches.
Shah Rukh and Vicky were later joined briefly by Karan Johar, and the trio performed to the title track of Pathaan. A video of this moment has been circulating online.
Karan Johar was recognized for his contributions to the Indian film industry at the IIFA 2024 event. Having completed 25 years last year, he treated fans to Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, while IIFA presented him with a special award to commemorate his journey. Vicky Kaushal announced, “Today, IIFA honors Karan Johar for 25 years in the Indian film industry and for creating a lasting legacy.”
Shah Rukh Khan presented the award, and Karan seemed taken aback by the recognition. He made his way to the stage, still processing the honor, and then touched Shah Rukh’s feet before accepting the award.
