Shah Rukh Khan’s latest flick Jawan has been taking the box office by storm in India ever since it released on Thursday September 7. Directed by Atlee Kumar, the action entertainer has gone onto earn over Rs. 200 crores in the country in just three days. It also scored the highest single day for a Bollywood movie in India by amassing Rs. 77.83 crores yesterday.
However, the Jawan storm is not just limited to India alone. The movie has been doing stupendously well even worldwide. In fact, it has already reached the list of Top 5 highest worldwide grossers of 2023 and is currently at number three in such a short period.
The first film in the list is SRK’s last movie Pathaan with a mammoth score of Rs. 1050.3 crores. This is followed by the recent blockbuster Gadar 2, which made Rs. 671.02 crores. The other Hindi films of 2023 that have found a place in the list are Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and The Kerala Story.
Jawan is expected to leave Gadar 2 behind within its first week itself. It’s just a matter of time, in fact. And if the Atlee directorial continues its dream run, it might even top the list.
