As expected Jawan, which might just be SRK’s most ambitious project till date, has started off with a bang, managing to rake in a staggering Rs. 65.50 cr. With collections harkening back to pre-Covid releases, Jawan has emerged as the actor’s all time highest opening day grosser. In fact, Jawan has managed to surpass Shah Rukh Khan’s previous releases like Pathaan which collected Rs. 57 cr, Happy New Year which collected Rs. 44.97 cr, Chennai Express which collected Rs. 33.12 cr, Dilwale which collected Rs. 21 cr, and Raees which had collected Rs. 20.42 cr. Besides these, Jawan has managed to out perform SRK’s other releases as well like Zero, Fan, Ra.One and Don 2.
Going forward, Jawan, which enjoys the audience’s favour and the assurance of positive critic reviews is more than likely to see its collections grow exponentially. In fact, based on current trends, and the massive rate of advance bookings, trade predictions claim that the business of Jawan could easily near if not cross the Rs. 150 cr mark by the end of its first weekend in theatres.
