iQoo 12 and iQoo 12 Pro have been confirmed to launch next month in China. The Vivo sub-brand, via Weibo, has confirmed the arrival of the new iQoo smartphones in its home country on Wednesday (October 25). The gaming-focused iQoo 12 and iQoo 12 Pro will run on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The iQoo 12 will be the first smartphone to come with Qualcomm’s new-gen SoC in India. The iQoo 12 series is expected to run on the Android 14 operating system and is tipped to feature 144Hz refresh rate displays. They are tipped to come with a triple rear camera unit.

The iQoo 12 and iQoo 12 Pro will be launched on November 7. The launch event will be held in China at 7pm local time (4:30pm IST), as per a teaser poster shared (in Chinese) by the company on Weibo. The iQoo 12 series is confirmed to run on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It would be the first gaming-oriented phone to get the new SoC. The flagship mobile chip was unveiled at the Snapdragon Summit this week. It comes as a successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and is claimed to be the first mobile platform focusing on generative AI. The CPU has a prime core with a maximum clock speed of 3.3GHz and it supports Wi-Fi 7 and dual Bluetooth.

Meanwhile, iQoo India CEO Nipun Marya teased the arrival of the iQoo 12 5G in the country through an X post. He confirmed that it will be India’s first phone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset
