Each individual carries their own unique set of fears, ranging from heights and water to insects and animals. The scope of fears is limitless and deeply personal. However, the remarkable and captivating actress Huma Qureshi harbours a fear that is profoundly emotional and deeply intimate. She has confessed that her greatest fear lies in witnessing her parents age. During the promotional activities for her recently released film, Tarla, Huma courageously unveiled this deeply-rooted apprehension, providing a glimpse into her vulnerable side. Her candid revelation serves as a poignant reminder that fears can impact anyone, irrespective of their fame or achievements, emphasizing the universal nature of human emotions.
When asked about her fear in a recent interview, the Tarla actress responded, “My greatest fear is that every time I return to Delhi, I see my parents ageing and I have no control over it, which is terrifying. When you’re younger, you see your parents protecting you, like my father is a lion to me and now you see them with some health concerns, which is quite scary for me.”
Huma Qureshi donned the role of late chef Tarla Dalal in the recently launched ZEE5 original film, Tarla which released on July 7, 2023. The movie turned out to be a rather hit with the audiences and received a lot of love for the way it portrays the late chef’s many accomplishments – she was the first woman to have a cooking show, a cookbook, and is the only Indian to have won a Padma Shri for her contributions to the culinary arts. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, and Nitesh Tiwari, the film is directed by Piyush Gupta.
