HanuMan (Hindi) Box Office: Gets down to Rs. 1 crore on Wednesday, needs to regain momentum over the weekend

It’s down to Rs. 1 crore for HanuMan (Hindi) as Wednesday numbers stood at Rs. 1.05 crore. These levels have been reached sooner than expected as collections were expected to be rather stable over the weekdays and then get to that Rs. 1 crore zone only today due to the arrival of Fighter. However, drops have indeed come and that’s surprising since the film has been really liked by most who have watched it.

The film, in fact, seemed like a sleeper blockbuster in the making, just like the Hindi versions of Pushpa and Kantara were where former entered the Rs. 100 Crores Club and the latter got into the 80s. In fact, it seemed like a given that Rs. 75 crores milestone will certainly be reached and those jumps over the opening weekend and then stable collections post that indicated the same. However, when the second weekend didn’t turn out to be bigger than the first weekend, then it became more and more apparent that this one would enjoy Rs. 50 crores milestone at best.

This is the target that the film is chasing now and with its current collections standing at Rs. 38.84 crores, it would be making a dash for that provided momentum is regained from tomorrow onwards. The big Republic Day holiday should help and then the weekend factor should take over. Of course, the film has lost quite a few screens to Fighter but then even when it had them to its disposal, it isn’t as if the shows were going houseful. Hence, it’s now about stability from here and that march towards Rs. 50 crores milestone would be closely observed.
