With Fighter invading screens all over, HanuMan now is playing at just couple of shows or so at every multiplex. Not that it needed any more shows than these since it had already consumed a large quantum of footfalls in its first couple of weeks. However, the fact also remains that Fighter is now the first choice amongst audiences and that too by a distance, something that’s indeed resulting in slight reduction of audience base for it.
This was seen on Saturday as well when the collections were just about decent at select screens where the film is playing and ended up being at Rs. 1.40 crores. The good part though is that it has managed to keep its head above the Rs. 1 crore mark and that would ensure similar moolah today as well. In fact, some sort of growth may happen as well today, and though in terms of percentage it may seem high, the fact remains that since the film is down to smaller numbers, the quantum of collections would be just about okay.
The Prasanth Verma directed action drama that is set in today’s time and has its bearings in mythology, HanuMan has now collected Rs. 42.84 crores in the Hindi version. Today it should stretch towards the Rs. 45 crores mark and from there, its interesting journey towards the Rs. 50 crores milestone will begin.
