Singing for an iconic film
Gurdas Maan’s voice became an integral part of Veer Zaara in the track ‘Aisa Des Hai Mera’, where he also appeared alongside Shah Rukh Khan, performing the bhangra. Maan’s presence added an authentic Punjabi touch to the film, and his collaboration with Khan left a lasting impression. Recalling the shoot, Maan shared how touched he was by Khan’s hospitality and the genuine respect he showed towards everyone on set.

Shah Rukh Khan’s thoughtful gestures
What struck Gurdas Maan the most about Shah Rukh Khan wasn’t just his acting prowess but his humble and respectful nature. “He took me in his own car, made sure I had something to eat and drink, and personally saw me off to my car,” Maan revealed, adding that Khan’s attention to detail and care for his guests went far beyond professional courtesy. Maan’s encounter with SRK became a testament to the actor’s kindness and grounded personality.

The true essence of an artist
Reflecting on what truly makes an artist stand out, Maan praised Shah Rukh for embodying the virtues of respect, manners, and grace. “A true artist possesses these qualities,” he said, explaining that these characteristics make an individual memorable. Maan further emphasized that if someone lacks these values, no amount of success can make up for it.
