General Hospital star Johnny Wactor known for the role of beloved character Brando Corbin was just tragically killed and the cast of the ABC soap will never be the same.

Who Was Brando Corbin on General Hospital?

GH’s Brando Corbin was a fan favorite right from the start. He came to Port Charles as Sonny Corinthos’ cousin and he touched many lives on the show, most of all Sasha Gilmore’s. First, Brando saved Sasha’s life when she nearly overdosed on drugs because of Cyrus Renault.

Then, they gave in to their attraction to one another which led to Sasha becoming pregnant. However, they tragically lost their son, baby Liam. Later, they got married and tried to move forward. But, then, Brando was killed by The Hook Killer, Heather Webber, on General Hospital.

Surely, Brando’s death hit the whole town and it’s only recently that Sasha is starting to put her life back together. Now, everyone is grieving in real life and it’s absolutely heartbreaking that Johnny is no longer with us.

GH Star’s Senseless Death

On Saturday, May 25th, around 3:00 am, General Hospital alum, 37-year-old Johnny Wactor, was in downtown Los Angeles with a co-worker. They noticed three men tampering with Johnny’s car and it’s likely that they were trying to steal his catalytic converter.

As reported by TMZ, Johnny’s mother, Scarlett, said that he did not try to fight or stop the men. But, sadly, he was shot anyway. Indeed, this was a horribly violent and senseless crime. Johnny’s family and the entire GH cast are reeling.

From the moment news of Johnny’s death broke, there’s been an outpouring of messages on social media from his GH family. No doubt, everyone is in shock and they all say the same thing about Johnny — that he was such an incredible human being.

Indeed, He was so kind and caring and fair and good to everyone. There wasn’t a person who knew him that didn’t love him. Countless General Hospital actors are speaking out about his devastating death. Of course, his former on-screen wife, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson).
