Gadar 2 Box office: Film crosses the Rs. 500 cr mark at the worldwide box office; collects Rs. 510.74 cr

The much talked about Sunny Deol – Ameesha Patel starrer released a while back and since then the film has proved to be unstoppable at the box office. The Anil Sharma directorial, which comes as a sequel to the 2001 release Gadar – Ek Prem Katha, has been doing roaring business since its release. In fact, surpassing expectations the film, which garnered rave reviews from the critics and highly positive audience feedback, has seen its collections grow with each passing day. After opening on a thunderous note, the business of Gadar 2 within the domestic mark sailed past the Rs. 100 cr, Rs. 200 cr and even the Rs. 300 cr mark with relative ease. Now, on its second week running, the business of the film has made it past the Rs. 500 cr mark at the worldwide box office.

Collecting a massive Rs. 462.62 cr gross within the domestic market and a further Rs. 48.12 cr gross from the overseas territories, the total worldwide gross collections of Gadar 2 is currently pegged at a staggering Rs. 510.74 cr. Interestingly, with the film still going strong in both the domestic and overseas markets, trade predictions state that the business of the film will see further growth. In fact, given the current scenario and continuing audience craze for the film, Gadar 2 is expected to fare better than newer releases slated to hit screens this week.

As of now, Gadar 2 which has proved to be unstoppable continues its march at the box office, nearly unopposed. Given the current circumstances, the business of the film is likely to cross the Rs. 600 cr mark by the end of its second week at the worldwide box office.
