Gadar 2 Box Office: Ameesha Patel becomes the 10th actress to enter Bollywood’s Rs. 300 Crore Club

The past week has been rather good for Bollywood with two big ticket releases Gadar 2 and OMG 2 doing monstrous business at the box office. In an age where a film’s longevity is limited to just a weekend, both releases have managed to entice the audience beyond the opening three days. In fact, in the case of the Anil Sharma directorial starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel the business of the film has managed to stun one and all. After sailing past the Rs. 100 cr and Rs. 200 cr mark in record time, the film has now collected Rs. 305.13 cr in just 8 days to enter the highly exclusive Rs. 300 Crore Club.

With Gadar 2, crossing the Rs. 300 cr mark at the domestic box office, Ameesha Patel now makes her debut in this exclusive club. In fact, Ameesha now joins the likes of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sonam Kapoor, and Tamannaah Bhatia who each have one film that has made it past the Rs. 300 cr mark. Besides them, Ameesha also shares the club with Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone who have 2 releases each that have made it past the Rs. 300 cr mark.

As of now, Gadar 2 which enjoys incredible trending and audience support continues to run to packed houses. Based on the scenario trade predictions claim that the business of the film is sure to see an increase on its second Saturday and Sunday running, inching closer if not crossing the Rs. 350 cr mark by the end of its second weekend.
