Filmmaker Anil Sharma’s Gadar 2 is making the right kind of noise before its big release this week on August 11. The film, which is the sequel to the historic blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001), takes the story ahead 17 years after the prequel ended. The film’s trailer and song promos have generated excitement for the upcoming Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma starrer.
The buzz for Gadar 2 is also reflected in its highly impressive advance booking sales. As of today 4:30 pm, the movie has sold approx. 1,37,000 tickets for its opening day on August 11 across the 10 major multiplex chains of India. One should note that this doesn’t include the sales of the tickets on days preceding the first day.

Produced by Zee Studios and Anil Sharma Productions, Gadar 2 will be clashing with the Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer Oh My God 2, which is also slated to release on August 11.
