Gadar 2 Advance Booking Report: Sunny Deol-Ameesha Patel starrer sells 45,000 tickets; headed for a humongous opening of approx. Rs. 25 cr. on Day 1

Tara Singh is back and is gearing up to surprise the industry with its opening day business at the India Box Office. The advance bookings started earlier in the week and the response has been phenomenal. As off Sunday morning at 11 am, Gadar 2 has sold approximately 45,000 tickets across the three national chains – PVR, Inox and Cinepolis – for the opening day alone.

The film will hit the 50,000 ticket mark in no time and will be looking to close its final advance booking on Thursday night with 2,00,000 plus ticket sales. Gadar 2 is confirmed to take the second biggest opening of the year after Pathaan and given the budgets involved is a sure shot hit. The film is made on a very limited budget and is among the rare films in post-pandemic world to recover all the investment from a theatrical run alone.

The advances are extraordinary in the non-national chains too, in-fact it’s second best after Pathaan already and has a chance of touching the overall numbers of Pathaan in single screens and non-national multiplexes. With this sort of advance, a Rs. 20 crore plus opening is locked for Gadar 2 and now we need to see if the film continues with the momentum on the weekdays and score a Rs. 30 crore plus opening day, thereby raking in one of the biggest non holiday openings of all time.

Gadar 2 stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in lead and is slated to clash with OMG 2 at the Indian Box Office on August 11.
