Fukrey 3 has taken a good start at the box office, what with the collections turning out to be as expected. There were all the indications of the film opening in Rs. 8-10 crores range and that’s exactly what has happened. Yes, it would have been good to see a double digit start for the film and after the promo unveiling it did seem that this was possible. However, the start was a little lower, though that would be compensated comfortably in days to come.
With a start of Rs. 8.83 crores on its early release on Thursday, the film should now hold well today. It could go anywhere actually; be it stay at the same level or go one crore up or down. Even if it’s around Rs. 7 crores then it won’t be bad but then going past Rs. 9 crores would set it up even better. The good thing is that it’s set to grow very well tomorrow and then Sunday and Monday are bound to be really good due to Gandhi Jayanti national holiday, which means an extended weekend of Rs. 50 crores is there for the taking.
There have been multiple movies succeeding well in the recent times and Fukrey 3 has also been meeting these expectations. In the midst of back-to-back all time mega blockbusters Gadar 2 and Jawan, it’s the success of films like Fukrey 3 and Dream Girl 2 that further infuse life into the industry.
