The world woke up the shocking news of one of the most popular television stars Matthew Perry, who essayed the iconic role of Chandler in the cult American sitcom Friends, passing away on October 28. Post his demise, the entire star cast of the show including his five co-stars David Schwimmer, Courtney Cox, Matt Le Blanc, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow, attended his funeral but were in shock as they refrained from speaking about his demise. However, in the last couple of days, the entire cast took to social media to express their grief and among them was Lisa who recalled some fond memories of the show and posted a photo of her shooting with Matthew from the pilot episode.
Lisa Kudrow took to Instagram to remember Matthew Perry in the fondest way and along with the photo, she also penned a heartfelt note as a tribute to the actor. She said, “Shot the pilot, Friends Like Us, got picked up then immediately, we were at the NBC Upfronts. Then… You suggested we play poker AND made it so much fun while we initially bonded. Thank you for that.” She went on to thank late Perry for a multitude of things as she continued, “Thank you for making me laugh so hard at something you said, that my muscles ached, and tears poured down my face EVERY DAY. Thank you for your open heart in a six way relationship that required compromise. And a lot of “talking.” Thank you for showing up at work when you weren’t well and then, being completely brilliant. Thank you for the best 10 years a person gets to have. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for all I learned about GRACE and LOVE through knowing you. Thank you for the time I got to have with you, Matthew.”
