First 3 Days Worldwide Box Office Comparison: Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawaan Vs Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal

Each Friday fortunes are made and lost in Bollywood, and last Friday was a triumph for director Sandeep Reddy Vanga with the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal striking gold at the box office. The film, which also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna, had been making waves since the launch of its first look asset, and now at the box office, Animal, which enjoyed a wide rate of advance bookings, started on a thunderous note. After raking in a massive Rs. 115.67 cr. on opening day at the worldwide box office, the business of Animal saw good growth on its first Saturday and Sunday respectively. In fact, over its opening weekend Animal managed to draw in Rs. 355 cr. at the worldwide box office.

In fact, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer, which collected Rs. 115.67 cr. on Day 1, saw its collections grow with Rs. 119.8 cr. coming in on Day 2 and a further Rs. 119.57 cr. on Day 3. Interestingly, while Jawan within the domestic market hit screens on a holiday weekend, Animal that comes with an Adults Only certification has managed to near the business of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer despite being a non-holiday release.

Currently, Animal continues to run with audience patronizing the film in droves. In fact, the positive reviews and encouraging audience word of mouth are sure to propel the business of the film further. Based on current trends, trade predictions paint a highly optimistic future for the business of Animal claiming that the film will see good growth over its first week running.
