Fateh trailer launch: Sonu Sood reveals that his team suggested that he should ask Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan to provide voiceover for the AI character in the film

The trailer of Fateh was launched by actor-director-producer Sonu Sood at a multiplex in Mumbai. He was joined by producer-wife Sonali Sood, Umesh K R Bansal of Zee Studios and actors Jacqueline Fernandez, Sheeba Akashdeep and Dibyendu Bhattacharya. Sonu seemed in a fun and excited mood as he passionately spoke about Fateh and a lot more.

Sonu Sood revealed that he was asked by his team to ask Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan to do a voiceover for a unique character in the film. Sonu has worked with both of them and shares a special bond with the stars.

Sonu Sood said, “I know it’s my first film and will be seen with a microscopic lens. Hence, you have to make sure that what you make is top-class. I used not sleep as I used to feel ‘Kuch toh miss ho raha hai. I’ll shoot that tomorrow as I might not get the opportunity again’.”

He added, “We saw the film and everyone liked it. Vijay Raaz’s character is seen communicating with an AI voice. Somebody suggested, ‘Tere industry mein bade saare dost hai. Why don’t you ask Shah Rukh bhai or Salman bhai to provide voiceover for this AI character?’. I wondered, ‘If someone’s voice can enhance the film’s scale, why don’t I get an actor to do a role?’. I realized that nobody can be better than Naseer bhai (Naseeruddin Shah).”

Sonu Sood then stated, “I met him (Naseeruddin Shah) and I showed him the script. He liked it and wondered why I didn’t cast him. I told him that the shoot was over and revealed, ‘Mujhe aap ek din ke liye chahiye. Main aapko poori picture mein bhar dunga’!”

Sonu Sood continued, “I then went home and started watching the film again. I realized where all I could place him and thus, I wrote his character. When I narrated him, he loved it but wondered how would I manage to shoot his portions in a day. I assured him it’ll be done. I managed to do so. I am sure when Naseer bhai will see the film, he’ll feel like he shot for the film for 15-20 days!”

Fateh releases in cinemas on January 10.
