EXCLUSIVE: Vineet Kumar speaks on collaborating with Sunny Deol in Jaat, recalls buying latter’s movie tickets in black; says, “I feel very safe doing action scenes with him”

Vineet Kumar Singh, known for his performance in Mukkabaaz, is set to team up with actor Sunny Deol in an upcoming pan-India film. The film, which was tentatively titled SDGM, is now officially titled Jaat. The title was unveiled on the special occasion of Sunny Deol’s birthday.

Vineet Kumar Singh shared the poster on his social media, captioning it, “Introducing the man with a national permit for MASSIVE ACTION @iamsunnydeol in and as #JAAT  #SDGM is #JAAT Happy Birthday Action Superstar MASS FEAST LOADING.” Sunny and Vineet’s collaboration promises to be an exciting blend of talent and storytelling, catering to audiences across diverse regions.

The film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory, will mark Vineet’s first project with Sunny Deol. The film is being touted as the “biggest action film of the country” and is directed by Gopichand Malineni. Previously, Singh expressed that he feels “truly blessed” and “excited” to be part of the action film.

Vineet also went on to share a personal story about Sunny Deol, saying, “Sunny sir is like an elder brother. My friend and I used to buy his movie tickets in black just to watch him on the big screen. I feel very safe doing action scenes with him—he makes us feel so comfortable on set. I’ve got a lot to learn in action from Sunny sir. We’re also shooting on his birthday and will celebrate his birthday after pack up.” The film will also feature Randeep Hooda, Saiyami Kher, and Regina Cassandra in pivotal roles, and is set to release next year.

Currently, Singh is celebrating the success of Superboys of Malegaon, which received overwhelming praise at its TIFF 2024 premiere. He has also signed on for the political thriller Match Fixing, based on Kanwar Khatana’s book The Game Behind Saffron Terror. The filmmakers unveiled a striking first look at Singh in the film, capturing the essence of the story. Match Fixing is set to hit theatres on November 15, featuring co-stars Anuja Sathe and Manoj Joshi. Additionally, he will appear in Rangeen.
