Namita Alexander, a renowned celebrity stylist, has made significant contributions to the fashion industry, especially through her work with Bollywood celebrities like Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh and Diana Penty. Her approach to styling emphasizes minimalism, enhances her clients’ looks by introducing subtle changes that highlight their best features, and showcases signature styles that are both sophisticated and distinctive. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, she discusses her client Jacqueline and her style.
Speaking about Jacqueline Fernandez’ style, Namita Alexander says that the actress has a much laid back and easy style. “She likes sort of elevated basics. When I say elevated basics, she invests in a good quality t-shirt, good quality blazers, and good quality pants, and she kind of mixes and matches them. So I love that about her. She does that really well. I would recommend people do that as well. You don’t need much; just invest in 10 good pieces. And wear them in multiple ways.”
She added, “If I give her very baggy pants with a fitted top, she loves that because then I show the best part of her body which is her midriff. No one has a midriff like what I would say in Bollywood that I’ve seen. She’s so toned, super flat tummy and great body.”
She continued, “Jackie is a very easy celebrity to work with. Not too many hang-ups. She trusts the process. She trusts that I know my job and I will give her the best. So I would say that’s why it’s working with her is because there’s been a lot of trust involved and I think that’s very important between celebrity and client. She trusts me. So of course I take her input, but she believes that my say is final and it’ll be good, it’ll work and she should trust the process. That’s very important.”
