EXCLUSIVE: Anupriya Goenka on Break The Silence being premiered at Cannes, “I am excited and proud, hope it releases soon”

Anupriya Goenka starrer Break The Silence: Evil Within Us is all set to be premiered at the ongoing 77th Cannes Film Festival. The movie is a social drama directed by Hemant Chauhan and written by Ranjit Singh Mashiana.

In an exclusive quote to Bollywood Hungama, Anupriya shared her happiness at the feat achieved by her film saying, “I am excited and proud about my film going to the Cannes (Festival De Cannes Marche Du 2024). It was also a wonderful experience working with the director Hemant Chauhan, and actors Karthikey Raj, Priya Raina, and Yukti Kapoor. Our shoot was remarkably efficient. I’m so glad that the film is gaining attention and receiving great reviews and appreciation. The story is clearly connecting with the audiences, who have seen it so far. I hope it gets released soon as the message we tried to convey is the most important of all. I wholeheartedly congratulate the entire cast, the director, the crew, and especially the producers for supporting a subject like this.”

Elaborating on the film’s subject, the actress added, “The film conveys the message about special needs children and their vulnerability to exploitation. They need a lot of support from outsiders to ensure they are raised in a safe environment with the right support system around them.”

Anupriya was last seen in a pivotal role in Milan Luthria’s web show Sultan Of Delhi. As far as her forthcoming projects are concerned, apart from Break The Silence, she has Atul Sabharwal’s Berlin in the pipeline.
