Aishwarya Rai Bachchan needs no introduction. She is widely known for her eternal beauty. From her Cannes appearances to her films, she often makes headlines for various reasons. Among many other speculations, a bunch of reports, surfacing on the internet claim that her wedding outfit, designed by Neeta Lulla, was worth Rs 75 lakhs.
However, Neeta Lulla has made it clear that the reports are nothing but “afwaah”, for once and all. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama, Neeta Lulla was talking about her association with the former Miss World. When asked to comment on the report of Aishwarya donning an outfit worth Rs 75 lakhs, Lulla laughed and said, “Really? You fell for this afwaah?”
She further added, “You do your maths. I mean a Kanjivaram saree, how much would it cost? It can’t cost like a crore or Rs 75 lakhs, can it? A basic blouse with a well-cut, well-fitted embroidered zardozi blouse and jewellery. I mean are you counting the whole thing with the jewellery, I don’t know where the maths is.”
When asked to reveal the cost of Aishwarya’s wedding outfit, Lulla politely denied it by saying, “I don’t remember.”
For the unversed, Aishwarya wore a traditional yellow and golden combination Kanjeevaram saree, which featured Swarovski crystals and intricate threadwork. She opted for a braided hairdo with a floral bun. Besides these, she accessorised her outfit with gold jewellery.
