Esha Gupta discloses that she froze her eggs in 2017: “I thought that I’d rather freeze them when I’m healthy”

Actress Esha Gupta, in a recent conversation, opened up about how she froze her eggs in 2017. Esha Gupta, who shuttles between Spain, Delhi and Mumbai, said, “Eventually, I will get married and have kids. I’ve always dreamed of having kids. That’s always been important. Kids and dogs are two aspects of my life that I can never think of living without.”

The 37-year-old actress expressed how she is not in any rat race. “I froze my eggs in 2017 before I met Manuel. I thought that I’d rather freeze them when I’m healthy. If I wasn’t an actor, I would have already had three kids by now. I was single for almost three-and-a-half years before I met Manuel (in 2019). I met him by chance, not in his country or mine. Since then, we both knew that we were serious about our relationship. We were very clear that if it goes well, our end goal is marriage. We want to get married and have kids. Manuel knows how much I love babies, and he’s ready for fatherhood,” she elaborated revealing that she loves the thought of having kids while simultaneously expressing how grateful she is to her partner Manuel.

“We were very clear that if it goes well, our end goal is marriage. We want to get married; we want to have kids. I’ve always loved babies a lot. Manuel knows that; he’s ready (to be a father), and he’s prepared. When we get married, it will be either IVF or surrogacy – depending on when we get married and what my body is going through. For a woman who wants to have a family, that’s important,” she added.

The Rustom actress also talked about how the process took a toll on her weight saying, “During the process of freezing your eggs, you can end up gaining weight because of the hormonal change. Your body is changing. You may end up becoming moody, but it’s bound to make you happy as it’s very exciting too,” concluded Esha.
