Often hailed as Czarina of TV, Ektaa R Kapoor who is known for creating Indian serials featuring quintessential saas-bahu challenges and for the portrayal of over-the-top wealthy Indian traditional joint family households in her shows recently opened about the much talked about commercial of Boldcare. The ad featuring Bollywood star Ranveer Singh and adult movie star Johnny Sins turned out to be a funny take on such Indian dramas, after which, many small screen actors expressed their disappointment and felt offended by this kind of content. But Ektaa was definitely not one of them!
In fact, the Emmy Award winner took to social media to share her thoughts on the commercial and couldn’t stop praising Bollywood’s energetic powerhouse, Ranveer Singh for this Boldcare advertisement, and addressed it as a bold move that aims to create conversations around men’s sexual health. Taking to her Instagram, Ektaa shared a story with a screenshot from this ad, and wrote, “AFTER MIHIR IT’S RANVEER!!! SUCH A FUN VIDEO !!!! JETHJI” and added several glowing star emojis.
Best known as the Queen of Indian Television Serials, Ektaa still continues living in the hearts of audiences and she won over the hearts of many with shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kasautii Zindagi Kay, among others. Ever since the Bold care ad released, people couldn’t help but reminisce Ektaa Kapoor’s serials and themes. Along with Ektaa, several other celebrities too appreciated the commercial for its creative leap by weaving the narrative around the most popular and well-known form of TV drama – the saas-bahu sagas. Many also appreciated the commercial for propelling conversations about men’s sexual health into the mainstream, encouraging open dialogue about it.
