Dot aka Aditi Saigal made her debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies last week. She played the role of Ethel in the movie. While her presence in the movie was limited, the debutant actor-artiste is getting good reviews for her debut! Dot has become the talk of the town with her significant musical contributions to the film! She has written and sung all four Dear Diary themes picturised on Khushi Kapoor, as well as lent her voice to the character of Betty (Khushi) singing and composing the song ‘Asymmetrical’! She has also sung the other two chartbusters ‘Dhishoom Dhishoom’ and ‘Sunoh’.
In a series of behind-the-scenes photos with Khushi, Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Yuvraj Menda, Vedang Raina and Mihir Ahuja shared on Instagram, the young actress wrote, “Two whirlwind years spent with these lovely people. From learning how to skate to writing music for film to wearing a goddamn ball gown at the premiere – what a ride ♥️

The film was released on December 7th, only on Netflix. It is an Indian adaptation of a Global IP, the iconic Archies Comics. The Archies, set in the 1960s in an Anglo-Indian community based in the fictional hill station town called Riverdale is a coming-of-age story that follows the lives of the town’s favourite set of teenagers- Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel and Dilton. The film explores friendship, freedom, love, heartbreak and rebellion.
