Divyanka Tripathi reacts on Krishna Mukherjee’s harassment allegations against producer Kundan Singh; says, “This behaviour is appalling”

Divyanka Tripathi has responded to Krishna Mukherjee’s harassment claims against Shubh Shagun producer Kundan Singh, claiming that he locked her in a makeup room once. Divyanka and Krishna previously appeared together in the hit show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.

In a recent interview, Divyanka Tripathi addressed Krishna Mukherjee’s charges against the producer of her show. Tripathi stated that she was “shocked” when she learned about it and felt that such behavior is “appalling.”

“This behaviour is appalling. I am shocked. I got to know about this when only somebody asked me about it in one of my last interviews. I was just shocked. How can this happen in today’s time? Our Union rules are very strong. Yes, earlier, I could have thought of something else. When we started our careers, at that time unions weren’t strong but today, people are scared. They are scared of contracts. Besides this, humanity! How can you lock one of your actors? There are other ways to deal,” Divyanka told TellyChakkar.

Last month, television actress Krishna Mukherjee stunned everyone when she made serious claims against the creator of her show, Shubh Shagun. Krishna, who got to prominence with her role in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, spoke up about her depression and blamed the producers of Shubh Shagun for her uneasiness. She claimed she was going through “tough times” and accused the show’s producer of harassment.

The 31-year-old actress also claimed that the show’s producers locked her in a makeup room once because she was ill and refused to film. She also accused them of failing to pay her dues and said that the production business had failed to pay her a “big amount.”

However, the Shubh Shagun producer, Kundan Sharma, denied all allegations made by Krishna and accused her of defaming him instead. In his statement, Kundan lashed out at Krishna and accused her of “misleading” all by making false allegations.

Later, in an interview, Kundan criticized Krishna for claiming that he had threatened her and claimed that she was making such allegations only to be in the limelight. The producer also said that everyone on sets is treated with “great respect” and claimed that “Krishna wants to prove herself as truthful, she is making up ten other lies.”
