Director Vikramaditya Motwane and producer Nikhil Dwivedi team up for The Trident

Director Vikramaditya Motwane is gearing up to bring to the big screen one of India’s most audacious Naval and Maritime War Operations, titled The Trident. The film is currently in the pre-production stage. Produced by Nikhil Dwivedi, discussions are underway to bring IMAX on board as a partner.

The Trident will chronicle the narrative of Operation Trident, one of the Indian Navy’s most successful maritime war operations. This pivotal event saw a contingent of Naval heroes execute a strategic bombing of the Karachi port, altering the course of the 1971 Bangladesh war for liberation. The operation, led by the distinguished Babrubhan Yadav and Admiral Nanda, stands as a testament to India’s maritime prowess and strategic brilliance.

While details about the cast remain tightly under wraps, rumours abound that discussions have commenced with two renowned superstars to portray the pivotal roles of Yadav and Nanda. Although their identities are yet to be disclosed officially, reports suggest that both actors have expressed interest in the project and are poised to bring these iconic characters to life on screen.

With pre-production already underway, The Trident is scheduled to commence filming by April 2024. As anticipation mounts, audiences eagerly await further revelations about the cast, crew, and the cinematic vision that Vikramaditya Motwane aims to unfold on the silver screen.
