The NTR Jr., Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan led Devara has seen a growth in business on the second day. According to early estimates, the movie has collected in the range of Rs. 9 to 9.50 crores on Saturday, taking 2-day total collections in the vicinity of Rs. 16.25 crores.
Being a mass-heavy film, there was a chance for Devara to be flat on day 2, but a 15% growth is a positive sign. The Kortala Siva directorial will now be looking to consolidate the Saturday growth with another jump on Sunday and aim at a 3-day weekend total of Rs. 27 crores.
The film released with low expectations and rather muted promotions and hence the collections are proving to be a pleasant surprise for the trade. If Devara holds well on Monday, it is poised to be a success story in Hindi. The target will be to hit the 75 crore mark by the end of this run.
