The Kortala Siva-directed Devara has taken a good start at the box office in Hindi as the NTR Jr. film has collected around Rs. 6.50 to 7.00 crores on the first as per early estimates. The film has collected around Rs. 2.75 crore across the national chains, which have accounted for 40 percent of the box office collections.
The film has done well in the mass belts, as the occupancy in single screens grew from strength to strength as the day passed by. The first weekend will be around the Rs. 30 crore mark, and the Monday hold will indicate if the film can enter the Rs. 100 crore club. Devara has opened better than Pushpa, KGF, and Baahubali in Hindi, and this puts the film in a better spot than the 3 to emerge a big grosser in Hindi.
