As on Wednesday morning at 11 am, Deadpool and Wolverine, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman has sold approximately 1 Lakh 30 Thousand tickets in the top 3 national chains – PVRInox and Cinepolis – for the opening day alone. The action comedy bringing back the cult character of Wolverine is expected to take an excellent opening in India.
If advance booking trend is anything to go by, the first day of Deadpool and Wolverine is expected to be in the range of Rs 20 crore, which means, one of the biggest openers of the year in India. The early reviews from the West are supremely positive and the same word of mouth in India will give the film long legs in the cinema halls until the arrival of Independence Day releases.
