Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) tried to get back into EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) bed, but he turned her away. EJ was down about his divorce decree from Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and wasn’t in the mood.

He also questioned if Gabi truly wanted this, believing she still desired her marriage to Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash). Meanwhile, Stefan made an impulsive play to get Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) back in his bed for revenge.

Days of our Lives spoilers confirm that on Monday, Gabi sincerely thanks EJ DiMera for saving her. She was in dire shape after the blast and he scooped her up in those muscular arms and got her to the hospital.

EJ said the ambulance was too slow and Gabi needed medical care ASAP. If not for him, she might be dead and gone, just as crazy Connie hoped. From DOOL spoilers, we know EJ DiMera worries that Stefan will testify against him over the baby-snatching incident.

So, that’s one reason for him to avoid Gabi on Days of our Lives. Spoilers also say Stefan still wants payback, but recent events may soften his stance on his big brother. Like it or not, Mrs. DiMera might be dead if not for EJ.

Other Monday spoilers have Stefan DiMera at his estranged wife’s bedside. Remember, Connie stabbed him when he shielded Ava. So, that’s why Stefan is also at the hospital. Maybe his wife’s injuries and his brother’s heroics will calm him down. We’ll see.

DOOL Spoilers: Stefan DiMera’s Heroics Could Soften Ava

DOOL spoilers have Ava extremely grateful to Stefan for saving her life. She’s tending to his wounds on Monday and is thrilled to have survived the ordeal. Remember how angry she was at Stefan last week?

When he asked Ava to join him at the mansion for a sexy sleepover, she got mad. Stefan said both want payback on Gabi so why not? But last week’s Days of our Lives recaps had her livid at the suggestion that she’s a bootie call for him to get back at his wife.

Stefan DiMera saw he misstepped and came to apologize. That’s how he caught Connie with Ava and saved her. Remember, Stefan told Ava that his wife is “dead to him” and he’ll never take her back after she slept with EJ DiMera.

That was before Ava got angry, told him to shove his job and offer of a night in the sack, and walked out. But will this life-and-death drama change her mind? Will she rethink rejecting Stefan because she’s so grateful he saved her? Or is it too late?

Days of our Lives: Stefan & EJ in Couple Swaps?

Days of our Lives leading men EJ and Stefan are at a crossroads. The main obstacle for EJ DiMera about hooking up again with his sister-in-law is fear. EJ doesn’t want to go to prison for keeping quiet that Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) stole Nicole’s baby.

Otherwise, EJ seems interested in her. And he didn’t even hesitate to grab Stefan’s wife and race to save her life. That was right after his own life was at risk. Remember, the bomb blew EJ DiMera back but he wasn’t seriously hurt.

If Stefan backs down on the legal threats, I could see EJ DiMera and Gabi canoodling. And if Ava takes a second look at Stefan DiMera after he ran to her rescue, then that twosome could happen.

This life-or-death crisis on Days of our Lives could either reunite Gabi and Stefan or break them for good. If these couple swaps do happen, it could be a lot of soapy fun. Imagine Gabi and EJ conspiring to take down Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and run DiMera together.

Imagine the drama on DOOL if Gabi moved into EJ’s bedroom while Stefan moved Ava into his bedroom. How messy would it be with all four living under one roof, constantly bickering and throwing their new relationships in each other’s faces?
