Crew director Rajesh Krishnan lauds Kunal Kemmu’s directorial debut Madgaon Express: “I am so jealous man!”

Currently basking in the outstanding reviews for his debut directorial Madgaon Express, actor-turned-filmmaker and now singer-songwriter Kunal Kemmu is known for his brilliant comic timing. Whether as a filmmaker in his newly released comedy-drama or portraying varied characters as an actor, he consistently continues to shine. Acknowledging Rajesh A. Krishnan and Kunal Kemmu’s close bond over the years, the former penned a heartfelt note applauding the latter’s brilliant directorial debut and his multifaceted talent.

Rajesh A Krishnan wrote on his social media handle, “Who is Kunal Kemmu? I am beginning to think ‘I. Don’t. Know’. How he is at the intersection of so many talents is a mystery on par with dark matter to me. From the most uninterested spot boy to the sleep-deprived light man to the hard-as-nails AD everyone in the set simply gawks in suspended animation when Kunal performs. Right then if you stabbed the air, blood would ooze, not sauce.”

Another excerpt of the post read, “A couple of years ago, you had shared your script of Madhgaon Express. And then I saw your sorcery in the screening! You are scary man! How do you do it? Madhgaon Express, releasing on 22nd March, 2024. And someone, anyone please tell me how he does it!”

A comedy-drama, Madgaon Express follows the misadventures of three childhood friends on a trip to Goa that takes an unexpected turn into the world of drug trafficking. With an ensemble cast featuring Pratik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwary, Nora Fatehi, Divyendu and more, the film promises a stellar blend of humour, drama and suspense.

Written and directed by Kunal Kemmu and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment, Madgaon Express has hit the screens today.
