Chandu Champion Box Office: Kartik Aaryan starrer opens at Rs. 5.40 crores, will grow quite well over the weekend

On the day of its release, Chandu Champion has opened at Rs. 5.40 crores. The film’s ticket prices were slashed to Rs. 150 for Friday and this actually works both ways. While revenue from ticket sales is lesser since these rates are pretty much half of the regular multiplex prices, the footfalls see an increase since tickets are much more affordable. Hence, one never knows which way have the collections actually tilted.

The real picture would be known today when the ticket prices have come back to normal. If there is a good increment in numbers, which is expected by the way, then it’s a clear indication that the film has been accepted by the audience. So far, it looks positive since the critical acclaim is massive for the film not a single critic has disliked the film. A highly inspirational tale that Chandu Champion is, it’s already seeing audiences spreading good word of mouth and that should translate into enhanced footfalls.

If the trend continues like this right through the evening then it would be good news indeed for the Kartik Aaryan, Kabir Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala film since there is a lot riding on it. Chandu Champion is a classy film with mass ingredients in there as well, something that should get the multiplexes on their feet at the very least. Once that happens then a double digit score could well come in by Sunday at least, which would then set the path for a good Monday hold.
